'Powerful beauty' is a mix of fine art photography and fashion. This project is inspired by the baroque and aims to address the lack of diversity in today's fashion world and media.
The baroque period illustrates that fashion in that time was typically associated with western women dominating the fashion scene.
Alexis was inspired by the master painters of light to express his vision.

The prints were framed in custom made wooden frames with anti reflection glass.

M.art SPACER Expo
Exhibition about the skateculture.

// Spacers // zijn de kleine afstandhouders die tussen de 2 lagers in zitten, in ieder wiel. Deze worden gebruikt in zowel de skates als steppen, waveboards en vrijwel alles wat rolt met kogellagers.
SPACER is een EXPO rond SKATECULTUUR met een reeks skategerelateerde ACTIVITEITEN van 24/11 tot 3/12 in en rond de expozaal van cc ’t Getouw.
Deze M.artexpo toont multidisciplinair werk van vier jonge regionale kunstenaars met als verbindende factor: skatecultuur. De deelnemende kunstenaars zijn Alexis Breugelmans, Ruth Mentens, Elien Lievens en Debbie van Keulen.
Tien dagen expo worden aangevuld met tal van evenementen waaronder een workshop MutsenFrutsen in de Fortysix, een ‘home video’s’ filmpjes avond van lokale skatehelden, een girlsnight met filmpjes van ‘Ryan Sheckler’, een Movienight met de film ‘Dogtown & Z-Boys’ en een workshop ‘P.I.M.P. my BACKPACK’.
